The hosts of the MGB Model Railroad Club (“the club”), Brett and Taunia Scott, have decided to “downsize”. As a result, the club will be dismantling, packing and storing the layout and its contents. Operating sessions have ended for now. That being said, it is the intent of the officers of the club (Brett is the current club president) to find a new home for the layout. The timeline for all of this is a bit “hazy” at present, but more information will be provided when it becomes available. We appreciate everyone’s interest in the club and trust that you’ll follow our efforts in the days to come.

The MGB Model Railroad Club is located in Central Alabama, near Montgomery, Millbrook, Wetumpka, Maxwell and Gunter Air
Force Bases. We are an informal group of train enthusists. Interests in the hobby are diverse in our Club. We are members
of the Southeastern Region NMRA. Feel free to visit, see if there is something you like.
HO Scale Digitrax DCC Operating Layout!
We are an HO scale Digitrax DCC Club with a permanent layout. Don't let "Digitrax DCC" intimidate you. DCC is easy, and a
whole lot of fun. DCC Operations is operating the layout like the real railroads operate. Join us one Saturday and in just
a few minutes, you will be operating trains. We enjoy simulating railroad operations on the layout, also called operating
sessions.
Model Railroading is a great hobby.
As a model railroad Club, our mission is to "pursue happiness" by designing, constructing, operating and maintaining model
train layouts. In addition, we always encourage others to become interested in this hobby which has so much to
offer - carpentry, electrical work, painting and scenery design to name just a few. We want to learn from other model
railroaders and we love to share what we ourselves have learned about model railroading. We are passionate about model
railroading and we want others to learn why we feel that way. We believe that model railroading is a worthwhile endeavor
